Aloha.
Urban Ukuleles is a small group of friends who come together every two weeks or so on Wednesday nights in Lee Urban's living room in Portland's West End to play our ukuleles, learn more about them, watch videos about them, drink cheap red wine, chat, and all in all have a good time together. We have no plans to expand the size of the group, if only because Lee's living room is only so big.
Lee's kitchen is available during our gatherings in the event any of us wants to conduct a "Master Class" for one or more. Of course, Jake Shimabukuro is always welcome.
For now and always, however, we intend to go slowly. There is no race to a finish line here, and this is not a competition. We're just enjoying the company, the learning, and the ukulele.
